Uninstalling Cursor Crane
If you no longer want to use Cursor Crane, you can remove it in two levels depending on how thoroughly you want to clean up your machine.
Standard uninstall
Section titled “Standard uninstall”For a normal uninstall, just delete the app bundle:
- Remove
Cursor Crane.appfrom yourApplicationsfolder, or wherever you placed it.
This is enough if you simply want to stop using the app.
Deep cleanup
Section titled “Deep cleanup”If you also want to remove local configuration and stored preferences, delete the following paths:
- App bundle:
Cursor Crane.app - Configuration directory:
~/Library/Application Support/com.expressionloss.CursorClaw - UserDefaults file:
~/Library/Preferences/com.expressionloss.CursorClaw.plist
The Application Support directory is also the default location where Cursor Crane stores its configuration files.
Accessibility permission
Section titled “Accessibility permission”After removing the app, you can also revoke its Accessibility permission in macOS:
- Open
System Settings - Go to
Privacy & Security > Accessibility - Find Cursor Crane in the list
- Disable it or remove the entry if it is still present
Before you delete everything
Section titled “Before you delete everything”If you want to keep your setup for later reuse, back up the configuration directory before deleting it:
~/Library/Application Support/com.expressionloss.CursorClaw
